Today, I discovered my mom has been using my credit card to buy everyone's Christmas presents. FML

Damn cancel your card and tell your provider it was stolen :(

Make her pay you back, or press charges against her if she refuses to. That's effed up.

You should definitely talk to her about that! :/

Cancel your credit card and explain the situation to your credit card company.

If you tell them your mother took it then they will tell you to deal with cause you know the person

if OP is about college-age, he/she probably lives with their parents, at least when not at school. That means while OP is old enough to have a credit card, their stuff is still accessible to parents

So let me guess, Your Christmas present is a shit ton of debt?

I know your pain OP, but lucky for me it was cash. Cancel your card and have it reported.

I wouldn't be surprised if she also stole the cash out of your wallet during your Christmas party.

Her Christmas present should be a nice new place to live. Well, maybe not so nice, but some prisons are not too bad. File theft charges on her! I would. (I don't have the world's greatest mom though)

She carried you around in her belly for nine months and pushed you out through her ******. Now, it's time for payback.

yes! all good moms must take advantage of their children to payback for the voluntary choice they made to have them as a baby

That's not a acceptable reason for theft

#24, some women get pregnant accidentally and to some, terminating an unwanted pregnancy is not an option. A better argument is that it is unfair to bill someone for a service they did not ask for. That would have shredded my main point, if not for the fact that I am being totally facetious. :)

Instead of stealing the credit card, the mother should have asked to borrow some money. No one needs Xmas presents that bad and as a mother she should want her child to be debt free and successful. Buying people crap they don't need without Op's permission means she is a bad mother.

You have really enlightened me! I'm going to have children I can't support, and then leach of them! I so set!

Tell her to make sure your name is on the "From" spaces on the gift tags, too. That way, she actually helped you avoid the war at the mall.

sorry. is she out of money? no credit cards of her own? good luck with that. ( I would give my mom a c.c. if she asked)

Even if she is out of money, with no credit cards of her own, stealing her child's credit card and running up the bill is not at all acceptable.

OP's mother stole the credit card and didn't ask for their own credit card or money. I am sure if OP's mother asked for money, OP would have obliged.
