Today, I discovered that I don't have enough financial aid to continue going to college past this semester. I'm one semester away from graduating. FML

OP here. To further clarify my situation, I'm working two jobs on top of being a full-time student and it's still not enough. The problem is, the government insists that a person with two jobs should have enough to pay for college so they've reduced the amount of money I can get - never mind that since I only have a high school diploma, I can only get minimum wage. Plus, I don't have any credit established - so I can't get any other loans.

I don't know much about colleges, but can't you take a temporary break to earn some money and then return for that one semester?

I do not know a lot about it, but could a gofundme page or something help? I'm very sorry for you op. I was almost in this exact same situation, however my fiancé agreed to cosign a private loan for me. I wish you the best!

Call up your bank and apply for a student line of credit, depending on your program you may qualify under certain conditions, Best of luck finishing up your program OP

Apply for scholarships, people are itching to give away money, it worked for me. The other thing I did was get a job.

Donate plasma if you can. That alone pays about $400/month.

Come to Sweden. You get paid to go to school here.

not if you are a foreigner... it changed a couple of years ago

You can apply for temporary leave until you can get a loan or a job to pay for the last semester.

Can you get parental help or maybe a minor loan to finish?

Pretty close to what happen to me but they instead decided to split it and add another year onto my field.

Do what I did OP, work a couple of jobs, sleep 2 hours a night on nights you dont have a ton of homework and live off of Ramen on a friends couch. Its 1 semester of agony, but that degree is worth every single second of it!

I'm so happy I live in europe and just can go to college without all those student loans and expensive college cost :/
