Today, I downloaded an application that notifies me when my phone is fully charged. I had no idea how it actually functions, but I plugged the charger in and went to bed. A couple of hours later, I woke up to a man's voice screaming, "I can't take it anymore!" I nearly wet myself. FML

Today, I was lying in bed, staring at the ceiling with the lights off. It was 1AM and I'd just finished watching a scary movie so I was a little paranoid. I was about to fall asleep when an eerie light lit the room. I jumped, got tangled in the sheets, and hit my head against the bed frame. Where'd the light come from? Not a space ship. Not someone breaking in. It was my phone. FML

You need an app to know when your phone is charged??? The little battery icon at the top isn't enough anymore? You totally deserve it. :-P

A lot of people charge their phone at night and when u overcharge ur phone, it kills it's battery life... So it's actually a pretty good app and op does not deserve it

So you'd rather be woken up when the phone is done charging?

Yes 47, otherwise that defeats the purpose of charging it in the first place :P

But waking me up from sleep defeats the purpose of charging it at night....

Then that's your problem for choosing to charge it over the night.

Actually you can't 'overcharge' most new phones. If it seems to have a low length of charge, let it die completely, then charge, then do it once more. It will reset the battery's sensors and optimize itself. Batteries lose integrity yes, but it's the sensor failure that makes people think they're completely kaput.

Lithium ion batteries should never be left to completely drain, it's worse for them.

44, That was true in 1990. These days if your phone is overcharging it is faulty. They are designed to be able to stay on charge.
