Today, I was lying in bed, staring at the ceiling with the lights off. It was 1AM and I'd just finished watching a scary movie so I was a little paranoid. I was about to fall asleep when an eerie light lit the room. I jumped, got tangled in the sheets, and hit my head against the bed frame. Where'd the light come from? Not a space ship. Not someone breaking in. It was my phone. FML

Ouch. I watched Paranormal Activity and I was really freaked out too :P

Never watch horror films, suspense thrillers, or action movies before bed. They really make sleeping difficult.

I can't think of a single alien-related horror movie that doesn't have at least something about space ships. And OP probably doesn't actually think there are alien space ships about ambush them. She's probably just jumpy from the movie, and threw the space ship thing in because that's what it was about. Actually Comment 4 seems to have a better explanation.

I don't relate "scary" movies and "alien horror" in the same category. Scary movies are like... the exorcist... or... The haunting of Conneticut... or Pokemon 2000...

I used to think that way. Then I realized that if something was going to get me, they'd just get me. They wouldn't wait patiently for me to watch a scary movie where they're the bad guy. "Hey Jed, I think this one's watching Scream!" "Really?" "Wait, false alarm. It's just some alien movie." "Damnit. I was so ready to kill someone..."

It's called The Ring. Used to be my favorite movie when it first came out. :)

OH MA GAWD DON'T ANSWER IT!!! if you do you will hear your screams of terror and then die later!

This is like the longest FML I've seen.. And YDI for watching a scary movie right before going to bed, you should know that's not how you do it.

this is over 300 characters..... i copied and pasted it into a "submit your fml" and its way over 300 characters

We do fix FMLs if the OP can't fit them in the 300 character limit, such as add spaces, sentence structure, commas, and spelling, as long as the FML itself doesn't change. This one needed a bit of help. ;-)

This FML could've been a lot shorter without all the pointless information.

Yeah, but the info makes it funnier, IMO. I wouldn't like it if it was like, "I was scared. I hit my head. FML" I guess some people are simple-minded....

Never watch horror films, suspense thrillers, or action movies before bed. They really make sleeping difficult.

I saw it in submissions, all the space ship bull crap must have been added by the moderator.

This isn't that much of an FML. But YDI for watching scary movies before going to bed. :P
