She's 19 and can make her own choices. OP is doing it right by realising that. Plus parents don't exactly influence their children's ENTIRE lives. Media, schools, etc.

it's one thing to be 19 and making your own decisions....but if you need a ride from your parents to the strip club you work at, yeah that's not really independence...
