Today, I failed hard at a color test. I thought it was a joke because most of the colors looked the same to me. Now I know why people laugh at my clothes color choices. FML

my dad has the same problem, he only sees black grey and white, and most of my blood related uncles and nephes cant see red or green (i think)

You should feel special, it's pretty rare for women to be colour blind.

My grandpa is color blind, he wore my mom's pink rain jacket once because he thought it was brown haha Don't worry OP, you probably set a new hipster trend :D

Cold hearted orb that rules the night Removes the colors from our sight Red is gray and yellow white But we decide which is right... and which is an illusion...

At least now you know and can make adjustments accordingly.

Why would that be hell? OP can color things however she likes. I've seen five year olds with normal color vision coloring grass purple and flowers green, because they felt like it.

Because elementary schools deal with the brightest and purest versions of colors, which most people can see, even with some color deficiency.

I know how that feels, OP. The same thing happened to me. Check out the computer programs you use and any games you play. Many of them have special settings to make things easier for colorblind or color deficient people. My color deficiency filter on World of Warcraft makes me glad I discovered my vision issue when I did. Things are so much easier to see now. ;)

Color blind people see colors. The thing that is different is that we dont see the differences between many colors. It's never black white and grey, for anyone, as I understand it. The way I dress is that ALL of my clothes match each other. As far as driving is concerned the green lights look white, same as the street lights in cities. I've ran a few red lights in DC over the years. I digress, I have learned where each light is so even if I couldn't tell the difference between red and green. the bottom is go the top is stop. You just have to remember more.

Color blindness is an x linked disease and in order for a woman to have it, she would have two defective x chromosomes. In the grand scheme of things, colorblindness is not the worst x linked disease out there.
