Today, I fell down a flight of stairs onto cement and had to get stitches in my knee. The class I was running to was Buddhist Philosophy where I was supposed to give a presentation on how we all need to slow down and stop rushing through life. FML

Ha ha! Love the Irony. Next time try practice what you preach. ;-)

yeah. perfect practical example for your class. "see what happens when you rush through life? fell down a flight of stairs and stitches on the knee."

the universe always provides a learning opportunity when you need it most.

@#17; Because he was rushing is why he fell down the stairs, if he hadn't rushed he most likely would not have fallen.

I think you mean concrete rather than cement because cement is only the mixture, but anyway, I hope you are ok

#24: True, but a totally unnecessary correction. How about commenting on the actual content of the FML?

I think you missed the point of "stopping and slowing down." It doesn't mean running down the stairs, and getting hurt. Sometimes rushing and speeding up are required for peace in life. For example, you'd want to rush and speed up healing your knee, as prolong stopping would just cause more pain in not being mobile.

@#23 Yes, so the fact that he was rushing makes it /ironic/, but I still can't see blaming someone for simply going quickly down the stairs. If he was like jumping or doing something stupid then for sure, but just going quickly? People fall down the stairs all the time, apparently you guys all think it's the person's fault when that happens? Either way, OP, I laughed at the irony and hope your knee gets better :)

Ahw, I can sympathize. . things like that always happen to me, scary coincidence, but you could use it as an example in your presentation :3
