hips.exe has stopped working
Owww, I felt that. Please don't push yourself OP. Yoga takes time and patience
Lesson learned: if you cannot achieve the desired position easily, you should not force it.
Push until stress...is a common rule...which you learned a bit too late
I thought this was going in the direction of you ripping a huge fart, which would have been only slightly more embarrassing.
OH My ! Hope you have recovered OP, Did you stretch at all before attempting this position ? may have helped loosened you up a bit
I'm sure they'd believe it seeing as most people have two hips?
33 is being nitpickiny about the OP's use of grammar as, apparently, hips is a set of two singular hips. Hip. Point being 33 was being overly specific.
33 was also being incorrect. All people have two hips, but one pelvis. The word hip literally refers to the joint, of which you have two.
Flexibility is not a feeling. It is a range of ability to stretch muscles, tendons, and ligaments. What you may have been feeling is overconfident in your ability.

Your hips don't lie
Yoga is all about yielding. It's goes against the very principle of yoga to force your body into a position it's not ready for.
