Was this legal downloading or through torrent? That would weight my vote a bit easier
If it were legal, she would've got the actual series. And for two weeks of waiting, definitely sucks, not deserved.
Can't help but find it a little ironic that most FMLs with someone overweight, or a smoker, or getting fired for making a mistake at work, or getting seriously injured or embarrassed while "trying to impress someone" get a much higher proportion of YDIs than an FML of someone who was inconvenienced after they illegally downloaded something on their computer for two weeks. Not that I give a shit about illegal downloads, but I find the phenomenon of the way the votes are going interesting. Obviously, most of the people sympathizing with OP engage in the practice themselves, or know someone who does, allowing them to sympathize. But it appears most of "us" (that is, collective members of society, or at least the FML population) are generally incapable of empathy - that is, putting yourself into someone's shoes and feeling for them regardless of whether you've lived/done/had a similar experience yourself (being overweight, smoking, etc.) Yes, I know that was a little deep for this site, but an observation I couldn't help but notice.
I think it's the two week wait for a full series that's swaying people. Plus, who legally downloads a full series, just an episode or two alone is expensive.
Me, I legally download or buy everything.
Note the word FULL. I can understand a favourite episode or two, but an entire series either way.
I'd equate it with OP stealing a dealer's stash only to find out the dealer was pushing oregano instead of reefer. Totally deserved.
#41 People could also be voting YDI because the FML's of late have been all pretty much the same, and stuff that has been shown through moderation have been better than what has been posted as well. I know a couple people who always say YDI because they have seen FML's get posted that mirror one's that they submitted but we're not posted, so they figure "if mine wasn't worthy, than why was this, when it was the same" so they just click YDI for spite. Not saying it's right, but after coming here for over 3 years now, what you posted has always been done, and getting to know many people here over the years, this is what I have seen and been told
I paid to download the entire final season of SOA, it was like $35. Worth every penny to be able to watch it immediately after it aired, since I don't have cable. The only crummy part is you can't burn from iTunes to a DVD. So I'll likely end up buying the season as well after it is released so I'll have the whole collection. If it's something I know I'll watch again and again, I don't mind paying. Still cheaper than cable.
Always read the comments before downloading.
Rule 1 of downloading: Always read the comments
This is hilarious ?
Popcorn time is my friend for series for this exact reason
so does no one ever read the torrent comments and look at seeds/leeches, or what? Sorry OP, its totally your fault, you deserved to be rick rolled for your negligence lol
I don't know that this could happen if you purchased it, I'll say ypdi because this sounds like torrenting gone wrong
What show takes up 60 GB of space?
maybe you'll know now not to break copy right and pirate stuff
