Today, I finally got my wish of having snow on my birthday. Excited, I failed to realise this meant that no one could come to my party, including myself as we were all snowed out of town. What did I spend my 18th doing? Tidying our house. FML

At least you got your wish... Why are you not out playing in the snow?!

That's incredibly stupid. Why would you cease celebrating being alive? No matter how old you are, it's good to gather for your birthday. Only someone who doesn't enjoy being alive would feel that way.

I spent my 18th birthday planning my sister's funeral as she had died the day before. Still, it sucks when you are looking forward to something and it's taken away.

You know what they say, be careful what you wish for... That is why she deserved it :P

the same thing happened to me! my party and birthday were on the 19th and it got snowed out. i always wanted snow on my b-day but not 12-18 inches =

18 is such a big deal for me cuz it's the drinking ect age here. for me, my mom made me go to her bf's house, while she made food to impress him and I fell asleep, and woke up later forgetting it was my bday.

Dont worry this happened to me on my 18th this week too, fact is I was stuck in a village and had to cancel my whole party but the club wouldnt allow a "no-refund"

that's happened to me before I've a blizzard on my birthday. Not once but twice

I spent my 18th doing nothing too. get over it

OP wasn't doing nothing. OP was cleaning the house. Calm down.

make sure you do a good job. We don't want your birthday to be a complete waste.
