Well this might not as bad as it could have been, he's known for ages that you have a crush on him, it doesn't make him too uncomfortable, and he's handled it and stays friends with you. You still have a best friend, and a lot of times that's worth more than a crush.

dont sweat it. i know that sounds ridic but i have been in that same exact position. on the one hand, at least you dont have to feel like ur hiding it anymore... and on the other, at least it was via text and not in person! hang in there!

Ouch! I know how you feel. I told my best friend that I liked him for a year and he told me he it wouldn't work because I was his best friend and he didn't want to hurt me. About a month later as soon as my other best friend broke up with her boyfriend (the boyfriend happened to be HIS other best friend), I found out that he had liked her the whole time. Hope that makes sense.
