Today, I finally had the confidence to show my girlfriend my hairy chest/stomach. I'm very self conscious about it, and get embarrassed easily. She said I looked disgusting, called me Chewbacca and broke up with me on the spot. FML

Today, I finally told my boyfriend I have a medical condition that makes me grow an unusual amount of hair on my face, so I shave every day. He said he was leaving me because he refuses to be with a "bearded lady". FML

If you're self-conscious about it, there are plenty of ways to get rid of hair you don't want. Doesn't excuse your ex's bitchy superficiality, but you don't have to have it if you yourself don't like it.

Usually, it's the other way around when it's an FML involving a female that doesn't shave her pubic hair and having a boyfriend that doesn't approve. In those posts, I see countless comments telling the OP to "shave that mess" and that "no guy wants a hairy crotch," yet the majority of the comments here are telling OP that his chest hair is something to be glorified and that his ex-girlfriend is a "shallow bitch" for not approving of it. Is there just an understood double standard for men, women, and body hair? Maybe OP should just leave his chest hair the way it is if he likes it, or shave it if he's that self-conscious about it.
