Don't feel too bad OP its more common than you think as long as you don't act on it. I took care of my little cousin since we were little kids and we were very close. One day sitting on the couch watching tv and she tries to kiss me(her 16yo, me 18yo). After talking about it she admitted to me that he has had feelings for me for a couple of years. Was the hardest thing ever explaining why it could never happen.

I think the biggest problem is not the attraction, but deciding about what to do with those feelings. If you pursue and he doesn't reciprocate, it can lead to awkwardness in the future. But if you don't try then you're stuck wondering about the "what ifs". Not too fun either way. Best of luck with whichever choice you make.
