Try reversing the process and starting again. Turn the pumps off first and then close the valves. Most sirens on a system like that will go off automatically when the problem is fixed.

now's the time to learn OP... even though you might get in trouble for causing the malfunction in the first place, They might commend you for solving the issue on your own. if you still can't get it fixed, just call someone.
Since you're new you can probably get away with it, although someone should have covered that particular thing. Unless it was in the employee hand book which no one ever reads...
