Today, I found my company car wrecked in a ditch. Apparently, leaving it parked on an icy hill all night was a bad idea. I have to pick up my manager from the airport. FML

At least the car didn't hit anyone on the way down

an act of god is what insurance companies refer to when it's natures fault, like a tree branch falling on your car, deer running into your car, etc.

that sucks, this has happened to the ambulances at work a few times, it just happens, it should be a non-at fault accident and ruled as an act of god, good luck with your boss though.

An act of God? Come on, let's not blame the forces of nature on an imaginary person. In all seriousness, if God was real, etc etc what the church says, etc, I seriously doubt he would give a shit about this person and make the roads icy and cause this to happen. Things happen without His helps or influence.

No, it does not just happen, and you can't call it an act of god. Things like this happen because people don't think ahead.

Icy should have told you to park it somewhere else.

Ice does not work that way. Ice makes it hard to stop -- not start on it's own. At night. When it is *COLDER* than day.

I see someone failed at learning common sense.

Theres a great little invention called a parking brake. Yes it will work on snow and ice.
