yea... I don't want to be mean, but you TOTALLY deserved that one. I mean really, if you honestly thought you were colorblind, you would've looked around a bit and seen if you recognize most colors, or if anything looked different.
Umm... presumably the fear here was that she'd ALWAYS been colour blind and not known, not that it had suddenly happened to her after having years of perfect colour vision. Therefore looking to see if things look different wouldn't really help since things have always looked that way for her, so whatever she's seeing, colour blind or not, would seem perfectly normal to her.
that's why lights all across America are set up the same. so that its not hard to distinguish go from stop.
So, you're color blind. You're life is ******. Oh, wait a minute: You have to pass that test for your driver's license. Upon further review... You Deserve It.
actually, you dont need to pass that test, the only test you need to pass for a license is Red green color blindness, there are still many other types of Color blindness
****, thats what i am...red green
you don't need to pass the red-green colorblindness test in order to get your license , if that were so then about 10% of men couldn't get it. Most people can see both red and green but wen the are put right next to each other its hard to distinguish between the two, which is why for the colorblindness tests they have a bunch of red dots with a bunch of green dots that either have a letter or a number in it, if you're colorblind then it would be hard to distinguish the number/letter
hi. red/green makes sense because of the lights BUT ... it's in different places (top/bottom) for a reason. top light means stop.
That sucks FYL, try the Blind spot test. Now that is the real deal!
Check your facts before you call someone dumb, otherwise you just look like an idiot. It IS possible for a woman to be colorblind as tuntis already pointed out. My old biology teacher is a colorblind woman (she couldn't tell the difference between green and red).
Either way some of the online tests are actually real (eg if you check out Wikipedia). And shouldn't the person doing the testing have let this woman know that she couldn't be colourblind before charging her for expensive tests? I'm male and red/green colour blind though why it is called colour "blindness" I don't know. I can certainly see red and green like everyone else, it's just certain shades bleed into other colours when right next to them or look like different colours to me. EG a bright green might look like yellow to me or vice versa.
She can't be colorblind, why? It's less common in females but certainly not unheard of, if that's what you're getting at.
Ahem: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Can_women_be_color_blind Wiki has all the answers.
http://science.howstuffworks.com/eye4.htm "Color blindness is the inability to differentiate between different colors. The most common type is red-green color blindness. This occurs in 8 percent of males and 0.4 percent of females. It occurs when either the red or green cones are not present or not functioning properly. People with this problem are not completely unable to see red or green, but often confuse the two colors." http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Can_women_be_color_blind "A child inherits one chromosome from each parent. He/She will get an X chromosome from his/her mother, and an X from her father (if a girl) or a Y from his father (if a boy). Thus, her father must be colorblind, and her mother must be a carrier (or colorblind), AND she must receive a copy of the affected chromosome. " GOOGLE MOFO
18 got owned. OP, n/o, but YDI. it always says on those sites that its not real.
