It sounds as though he told you that to hurt you. I would not want to stay in a relationship where someone was actively trying to mess with my head and heart. I don't know the full story, but I'd leave the situation if I were you. It isn't you he wants or will ever want. I'm not saying that to be mean, at all, it's the truth.

That sucks OP. I used to have to deal with a somewhat similar situation when I was a teen except it was my girl friends befriending me, hoping for a sleep over so they could sneak out of my room and hook up with one of my brothers. Any guy who thinks it's ok to do what your ex (I'm hoping here) did, is completely self involved and not worth feeling pain over. I'd suggest making a dart board out of one of his pictures. Throw it in the fireplace when you're done with it and watch him burn out of your life.
