Some relationships just weren't meant to be. They tried their hardest and things didn't work out. It doesn't mean they love you any less OP. They probably consider you to be the best thing to have come from their marriage

Sounds similar to the reason my mom had me, only it was to fix her life instead of a relationship. That didn't work out well.

OP, I know where you're coming from, you're not alone. My parents did the same thing. My mom cheated and ended up having my brother, so my mom felt bad and convinced my dad that having me will prove that she was still loyal to him.

You know, you shouldn't feel too bad. Even though your parents had you for a stupid reason generally all people have children for their own selfish reasons. Just be thankful that you get to experience life.

Welcome to the club; glad to have ya! In all seriousness, don't take it personally. It may not have worked out, but it's okay. The issues they had were already there! I look at it as without it, I wouldn't be here. It's not all bad :)
