You should have been the boss OP.
Being a whistle blower is a tough decision to make, you basically have to choose between your personal benefit and the company's. I salute your courage.
Yeah never work for a boss that does not listen. You're the idiot if it works and you're then one at fault if it doesn't.
See if you can speak with one of the board members.
put in a resume to your former boss as a consultant siting your ability to forecast success ratios.
It's more like he made you take the fall...you should have kept but with you gone and he messes up again I don't think an anyone break is fall
nobody likes a told-you-so.
Out of curiosity, is there proof you informed your boss? If you still have date stamped emails showing you tried to warn him, I'd try for wrongful termination.
I hope you have a paper trail of the interaction between yourself and the boss.
Its an important life lesson. There is no fairness, no justice, no redemption in the workplace. The only way you can be relatively certain that you will keep your job is by being (a) someone coworkers like having around, (b) someone that addresses a need by the company and by your immediate supervisor, and (c) someone that is appreciated for a and b. OP - sorry you lost your job. It really sucks. But why did you stay in a job for 3 years when you knew what you were trying to accomplished was doomed? You had THREE YEARS to find another job that you could be successful in. THREE YEARS! YDI.

Good riddance. Find a company that appreciates your input. Also, maybe try telling the upper management of the company next time. Good luck!
What a douchebag
