Firstly, kudos to you OP for being a responsible parent and paying child support. second, that's really immature and downright selfish of your ex girlfriend to break up with you for that reason. it's best to let her stay gone - it's clear she only really cares about herself and the money you provided.
I'm sorry but I would never stay with a man who couldn't contribute his fair share, especially with all his money going to an ex and child. (Before everyone gets mad, I've always supported myself with no help from any man, always been a 50/50 split) But then I would never have gotten involved with him to begin with.
why's fair share 50/50 of expenses, relationships are more than financial partnerships. actually, the whole point is to support your significant other in areas they may be lacking and then doing the same for you.
