OP Here. I don't suffer idiots well means that I don't tolerate or deal with idiots well. Which is utter crap. It is an excuse to get out of giving me the promotion they've been promising me for years. Now they have an alternate (totally unqualified candidate) so they are passing me over. FML. Onto bigger and better things I guess.

Sadly, that sounds about right. I'm guessing the other candidate is cheaper. On the upside, if they're not qualified, Tyne company is going to end up screwing themselves over. I'm shocked how many people didn't know the phrase. Very common in Britain, I guess less so elsewhere.

well it's not fun but the fact is every job ever has idiots and if you don't treat them nicely then somebody who will will get promoted. i kind of get the logic. all costumers deserve the same treatment, some of them don't know they're idiots.

Sometimes people can be a complete pain in the butt, but you gotta learn to put up with them. learn to put on that face of understanding or patience, inside you can still think they're the biggest dummy you've encountered yet, but you can still act like you can put up with them. Sucks though :(
