Today, I found out that just because you collapse from dehydration on the sidewalk, it doesn't mean people are going to stop driving to see if you're okay, even if they saw you fall. FML

When you start feeling dehydrated you seriously need to make getting water your primary goal. But hey sometimes dehydration just sneaks up on you. However if I saw someone just randomly collapse on the street I would go check it out and see if they were ok. They could be having a heart attack, a stroke, an allergic reaction (like a bee sting or something..idk i guess it could happen like that), or an asthma attack. I have really bad exercise induced asthma. If I ever had a really bad attack from my asthma I would be in huge trouble if no one felt the need help. Its really scary when things like that happen to you.

Don't you hate this cruel, cruel, world :(

haha one reason to never move to texas

@Doc: That is why I said it depends on your subject, lol. For example, a .gov website would be a good place to get a copy of a law document, but you wouldn't necessarily rely on the site's statement/opinion/intent of the law. Obviously, books are usually the best, and of course looking up cited works is also a smart thing. You have a point about the rumor having no basis itself, of course. But like I said, I never thought soda to be harmful to your hydration, just that it's not an excellent source for hydration. Kind of like how... sure, ice cream can be a dairy source, but it's not the best.

what the **** is wrong with people these days?

People here in Texas can barely drive let alone pay attention to others around them. Be glad no one decided to make a turn or that over you was the quickest way to get wherever they were going. I was running on a trail in a major park in Houston, and twice almost got hit by a--holes who decided to drive through the grass and trees to get to the street on the other-side. They couldn't wait to drive to the end of the block 100 feet up. FYL, but seriously Hydrate or die in this heat Miss. Water is your friend, carry it with you.

Your whole story would have been moot if you would have drank some water. I mean come on it's not like you live in a third world country with no indoor tap. Or you could have bought a bottle of water.

lol i understand how you feel. i fell/practically flew off my bike and started a bleeding gash and the people nearby just did nothing

YDI for not staying hydrated, seriously it's like the easiest thing on the planet. And how would you know no one was helping you while you were unconscious.
