I can only assume there's a crumb of a point in there somewhere? France is one of the countries with the highest stastistics for the purchase of hair removal products, so if OP's girlfriend had been French and hypothetically possessed braid-worthy long armpit hair, he would not have found out about it :p

kkkkkkkkkkk.... my boyfriend says that too...but as a joke around our friends one time i had to slide my sleeves up to prove he was joking...thats embaressing. but seriously tell her to wax. It only hurts the first couple times. I dont even feel it anymore, and i dont even have any more hair there. The more she waxes the hair will become thinner and less.

I think it's because European women were known not to shave their armpit hair...at least, back in the day compared to American women...

k43L1 The story I heard was that French women got the reputation for not shaving their armpits right after WWII when the country had been plunged into abject poverty, and some luxuries were not widely available. Once France recovered, ordinary standards of grooming prevailed. That's what I heard -- can't say if it is completely or partly true.
