Today, I found out that in the past, my mother has paid or outright threatened my girlfriends into breaking up with me, because they were, "unsuitable trash not fit to be the mothers of my future grand babies." This explains why I’m 47 and have never married or had children. FML

Today, my mother-in-law confessed that for the longest time, she had fantasies about killing me for "ruining" her daughter's life, basically because I'm not wealthy enough for my mother-in-law's standards. She made sure to let me know the situation hasn't changed at all. FML

11 is a fine age to begin dating, I think, as long as you're in middle school. They're not having sex. The furthest they'll go is a half-second peck on the lips. It's not like they'll get pregnant or anything. Most of them won't even have their period yet.

Actually, I've seen 10 year olds kiss fully on the lips for like 5 seconds :/ I wouldn't be so sure. But yeah, most of them probably haven't had their periods yet so don't go yelling," FUTURE PREGNANT YEAR OLD!" I don't see how dating is bad, alot of my friends had bf/gf's in the 6th grade.

@ bgpink and you have to realize that OP's mom has been preventing relationships since junior high which means OP is probably in early high school so 14 or 15 and still not allowed to date and your ridiculously close-minded for thinking that just because someone starts dating in 6th or 7th grade means they will be having sex at 16 which is ridiculous since the most that happens in a relationship before 8th grade+ is usually a hug or a solitary peck on the lips

On the upside...at least you are fully aware of this now and can at least pre-warn your dates if things are really starting to get serious...maybe confront her about it...ask her if she would like you to move back in with her and live with her the rest of your life...tell her that if she doesn't stop meddling, you are done...many options of ways to tell her to keep her nose out.

At my middle school at least two girls got pregnant each year, guys smoked weed in the bathrooms, and my school wasn't even that bad compared with others in our district. A lot can happen when 11 year olds try to grow up too fast.
