Today, I found out that my parents don't know the difference between a foreign person and a deaf person. They've been yelling at our exchange student for the past 2 days. FML

I never understood why people think yelling at someone who's either deaf or foreign can help them understand you any better.

#49, Not just foreigners. I speak US midwestern English and was completely stumped by the strong cajun accent of a New Orleans cab driver. Luckily, my friend spoke French and was able to understand him easily.
