Today, I found out that my parents were artists when they met. My mom said that I was one of their best projects yet. My sister, hearing what my mother said, broke my week-old PS3 in a rage. FML

Today, my toddler proudly presented me a "beautiful drawing" he'd made... on my freshly painted living room wall. When I started to scold him, he said, "But I made it for YOU, Mommy!" Now I feel guilty for being mad at Picasso Jr, and having to paint over it. FML

First of all, if it wasn't for your "dumb" parents, you wouldn't be in existence. Second, how you are raised does have some impact on how you live your life but it DOES NOT determine your "fate". Everyone makes their own choices through life, this determining their own destiny. Third, your comment just proves how intelligent you really are.

My younger sister was the favorite of our mother, so I feel the OP's sister's pain. That said, she overreacted. When I got upset about the favoritism, I just talked to my friends for a while (hey, I was THEIR favorite).
