I get that sort of thing all the time. You want to prove something, and something goes wrong on the day. ie. My keyboard arrows don't work, but when I show my mother, they do. FYL.

I was someone's imaginary boyfriend at my work. She was convinced I was her boyfriend even though I never hung out with her or given her much attention. I was the subject of rumors for six months. Absolutely sucked.

Why would you care if your family thinks she's imaginary. That gives you more freedom and they'll stay out of your business.
