That is some major red flags on him. A good boyfriend or friend in general is excited and happy for you when good things happen to you. I would rather be alone than with someone so unbalanced.
Shouldn’t he have been... I don’t know, happy for you?
Ask the company to reissue the check. Then, cut your boyfriend’s dick off and dump him for not having a dick.
If he acts that way towards money how's he going to react if you have a child?
A bit offtopic, right? What does a child have to do with any of this?
I think they're saying this person isn't the "get married and have a family with" sort. If he'll set a check for money, from a prize on fire because he's "jealous," would ya want to stay with him and maybe have some kids? Because I wouldn't trust someone like that around a kid. They sound like they _are_ a child. That likes setting things on fire.
You’re dating a childish asshole with really low self confidence. Don’t waste any more of your time with him. Though you may try and get that $100 out of him before you dump his man baby ass.
Like many others have pointed out, that sort of thing is a sign of controlling, potentially violent behavior. You should thank him for showing you his true colors before it was too late for you to make him nothing more than an unpleasant bit of personal history.
Please tell me you broke up with him after this incident.
