Today, I got a new haircut. I was feeling pretty confident, until coworkers and family members kept making comments like, "I think you gained a little weight", "You look older" and "Do you still like guys?" Apparently, my new haircut changed my waist size and my sexual orientation. FML

Who just asks someone "Do you still like guys?" That's pretty rude. FYL

If you like it, ignore the others. You do you.

that really sucks, as if something other than yourself should define what sexuality you are. (imo i will never like most guys haha)

I can maybe understand the weight comments because with shorter hair, your face is more exposed and can look more round. But "Do you still like guys?"- really? It's stupid people still think that due to one's sexuality, they can only look a certain way. Don't mind them much, OP. You think you look good and that's all that matters here.

Similar thing happened to me: I cut my hair from the middle of my back to chin length and people at work kept hinting at me that I needed to lose weight. I couldn't figure it out because I hadn't gained any weight, but I was talking about it with my friend, who pointed out my hair as a possibility. I got extensions and the comments immediately stopped. Short hair somehow causes the illusion on some people that they're bigger than they actually are.

You wear your hair any way that you like and everyone else can **** off.

I cut my very long hair very short and dyed my hair very red, and posted a pic to FB. My brother commented, "Do they cut strait girls hair at that salon?" To which I replied. "No bro. Just lesbians." He was like, "what?????!!!!!" I never have a good comeback, but for once I did!

I feel ya! I'm a girl with a pixie cut and people assume I'm lesbian now... Which I'm not.

what happened to "if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all"? people these days. ...

Is it a Bruce Jenner haircut like Meg & Lois from Family Guy? If so I can understand other peoples confusion...but then what do they know. Sometimes shorter hair does make a woman look heavier, just because the longer hair detracted from everything else...just saying, not trying to be a jerk.

Lesbians stereotypically have short hair. I don't see how it would make you look fat though.

Why the Hell do people associate haircuts with sexual orientation?
