Today, I got a text from a guy I hooked up with. I'm not really interested in him, so I rushed out of his house last night. He was letting me know I left my wallet at his house, and if I want it, I'll have to let him take me to dinner. FML

Not saying he's right or wrong for using her wallet as an excuse to go on a date with her, but she used him. She wasn't interested in him, so instead she used him for sex and probably toyed with his emotions, which is a very wrong thing to do.

Christ, some of the people here have a stick up their ass. Casual sex (as long as it's safe and both parties consent) isn't a bad thing.

if you have hooked up with someone on a one-night stand it could be assumed it is just a one-night stand. It is not giving false hope. If however, OP had promised to call or something that might be different, but we don't know that she did.

Ask him to give it back without going to dinner because you are not intersted. If he says no, report it stolen to the police. You can show proof that he is holding your personal belongings (including money and other forms of identification that does not belong to him). He cannot legally do so. Also, you might want to consider getting a restraining order if your ID was in your wallet (which it usually is) and will have your address on it. Cannot be too careful in this day and age.

You may not be intrestead, but at least go have a date? yall already had sex. so hey why not? :)

I don't see why several comments are calling the guy a gentleman, he's refusing to giver OPs wallet back unless they go on a date with him. If Op let him think it was more than sex then that was wrong but they shouldn't have to go on a date with him just to get their wallet back.

go along with it until its in sight. then snatch!, grab!, and run!

This is going to get down voted. But if a GUY posted this. Everyone would be saying "FYL" You're only said YDI because OP is a girl and society thinks that a girl cannot enjoy herself in the same way a man can.

Are you not reading the other comments? It's almost unanimous that anyone using another person solely for sex is wrong.

And just to be clear, I'm talking about using someone. Not casual sex, where both sides understand that it won't go further. Because by OP hurrying out of his house, it seems pretty obvious that he was interested in her romantically.

I love how all these comments are like "he's a creep, he's an ass, blah blah blah" like it's perfectly okay for a woman to use a man for sex because men do it... It's not ok for anyone to do it... Honestly if I was in his position I would do the same thing.

And you would be a creep too. The both consentually used each other to satisfy a natural urge. The end. No more obligations.
