Today, I got back from a service trip to Kenya, where I had no running water or electricity. I encouraged my friends to go green and help raise awareness by conserving as much electricity as possible. I return home to find that all my lights have been on for 2 weeks. FML

#87: He DID change the amount of power being generated at the power plant, by a very, very tiny amount. They do a very careful balancing act to generate the right amount of power to match demand. So if his lights were off, there's (a tiny) reduction in demand, so they can reduce (by a tiny amount) the level of power they're generating. In other words; less coal/oil/gas/etc burned.

Thumbs up to that! You're amazing (: I'm so glad to see people like you in my life XD

You just made a mistake don't worry about it. But on the note of environmentalist, there is nothing wrong with caring about how you treat the planet and not doing stupid crap like throwing stuff into the ocean but you guys do know we have more trees now than there have ever been in the history of the planet? And that the earth is now actually cooling and that there are more glaciers (sp?) than ever? Or that there are also more polar bears than in most other times and their population is still increasing? Just thought you guys should know. Oh and one more thing, Al Gore who is the always saying we need to save the planet has a bigger carbon footprint (flying around on his private jet) than almost anyone.

when you're trolling, at least make the "facts" you pull out of your ass a little bit believable.

@ lulujay, give me a break ! I will not argue with you about what you said, but I hope you (will) realize you are so wrong. Every statement about our planet you made is horrible (except for the one about Al Gore). You have absolutely no proof about the tree-statement, the polar bears and the cooldown. In stead you ignore the evidences that tell the opposite. Or do you realy think that the cool-episode we had the previous weeks is a sign of global cool-down? Climate is about >30 years, not about twee weeks. So instead of ignoring all the scientifically proven arguments, start encouraging people who realy care about our planet by little steps like decreasing consumption of electricity and water. Thank you.

you didnt notice that before you left??.....wow....
