Today, I got back from a service trip to Kenya, where I had no running water or electricity. I encouraged my friends to go green and help raise awareness by conserving as much electricity as possible. I return home to find that all my lights have been on for 2 weeks. FML

Today, I woke up to find my power was out. After taking a shower in the dark and being unable to make myself lunch, my power came on two minutes before I had to leave for school. FML

Today, I finished working a 70 hour work week. I'm a lineman for the electric company, and worked extended hours all week getting people's lights back on after a wind storm. When I got home, my power was out. FML

Today, there was a power outage at my apartment. I ended up deciding that the power wasn't going to come on any time soon, and that I should go to a hotel for the night. Just after I unpacked at the hotel, my neighbor called to say the power had come back. FML

Today, the power in my village went out. This caused the back-up battery powered alarm to go off. Nobody in the house even knew our alarm worked, let alone how to make it stop. It's been going off for over an hour now. FML

Today, I arrived at the kennels I work in to find the power disconnected and the water pump off. This meant I had to bucket water and carry it to keep over sixty assorted dogs and cats alive in temperatures over 90 degrees. The moment I finished, the power came back on. FML

Today, I'm staying in a hotel. The power went out while I was having a shower. So I waited for it to come back on, until an announcement came over the fire alarm, "Due to generating failure, the power will be off for the rest of the night. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, and have a good night." FML

I hate it when things like that happen. They happen all the time. Don't listen to these jerks who tell you that going green is wrong. I never understood why so many people are against it. At least you're the one trying to make a difference. Good for you. Just check the lights next time. ;]

President Obama criticized people for wasting energy heating and driving SUVs even though he used to have an SUV before he was president and turned the white house into a freaking sauna. If the ******* president can't be bothered to be a good example, chances are there's little you can do about it.

who leaves the house with the lights on? Better yet... who leaves the COUNTRY and leaves the lights on? Heck, the only lights on in my apartment are the ones I'm actively using. Yes, I have an amazingly low gas/electric bill.

To all of you "Green" people here on FML, You are all just a bunch of hypocritical, self-righteous, make yourself feel good f**ks. If you are truly green (which is just a "political fad"), you would not be sitting on your mac (Apple is one of the worst companies for the environment), drinking Caribou coffee and reading FML's all day wasting "resources". So take your environmentally friendly bullshit to Caribou, or your favorite green hangout and leave it there.
