this exact same thing happend to me but when i posted it it didnt go through. WTF?
That's messed up...you don't just sell a dog so you can get a new one... Dogs aren't objects... Lost faith in humanity again.. Can someone thumb her down for me? I accidentally hit thumbs up :( I'm a terrible person now...
What would you do if your kids didn't want to leave their grandparents house after they stayed there for some time? Give them to their grandparents and try again?
#34, than why did you bother repeating it?
31 both are living, breathing creatures that you've committed to caring for, regardless of the situation. Yes, you create children yourself, but just because your puppy doesn't share the same genes as you and you didn't carry it for nine months doesn't mean you can give it away and start again if it's not exactly what you expected.
Well said, 45. I often say about my puppy that he may as well have come out of me. Love of my life.
He must have given the dog one hell of a yummy rub!!

I always feel offended by how excited and active my bulldog puppy gets when my boyfriend comes over. I'm always like "You fat bitch, you were lazing about on the couch for 12 hours straight when it was just us. You didn't even lift your head when I got home!"
She might not have done anything. My dog has a connection with my mom that she doesn't have with anyone else. I did everything that I could when I first got her to make her love me (treats, walks, a fancy bed, training, etc.,) but they just instantly bonded. It makes me sad sometimes, but at least they make each other happy. Now my dog gets regular visits since I know she likes my mom so much.
#35, I can't say I've ever seen a fat dog that wasn't happy around their owners or anyone else. Pretty sure food makes dogs happier than almost anything lol.
It's OK. I once had a dog that LOVED my dad and HATED me. And he was MY dog. I have no idea what I did to him. I tried everything I could do be nice to that dog, but he was always obsessed over my dad. I couldn't even get close to my dad without that dog trying to attack me because he would get jealous. It took me years to get that dog to finally love me too, until finally he did and then he was so sweet to me. Sometimes dogs just form special bonds with certain people.
Spoil him rotten and he will soon forget about your friend.
Gary? I thought what we had was special!!
I would just be happy your puppy was well looked after to that point. I thought the FML was going to end like..... "they forgot about my puppy"
Give the puppy a chance! I'm sure the puppy loves you
Lots of treats and walkies :)
you have to let go buddy..
