I learned with university assignments to electronically submit - even if you have to hand in a hard copy, email it to the person as well. It's a little hard to argue with a date and time stamped document.

I really hope you didn't just leave the situation as it is. Better do something about it before that teacher keeps doing it to you or other students in the future.

Ah, the number of times I have had teachers lose my assignments after I have turned them in and blame me... I hate teachers.

Haha this reminds me when I was late to class and got detention the reason I was late was it was raining and I was on crutches. The teachers face when she realised this and that I had done the detention was priceless

And that's why you don't hand things in a week early, better to hand it in a day early or even day of, so it won't be as easy for the teacher lose it. Better luck next time.

Never give an assignment ahead if its on paper, they always lose it and they always bame you for it

Just don't go to detention and when you get called to the office explain why.
