Today, I got engaged to my boyfriend of three years. I made the announcement on my status on facebook so people would congratulate me. The only response I got about my engagement was from a girl I knew saying; "Umm, he didn't tell you he was cheating on you for three years with me?" FML

Well... when it comes to facebook people don't necessarily add just their friends; often people add many acquaintances too. Guaranteed that comment was posted with some sort of truth to it. That was a post of anger and passion and rejection- the chick is pissed that she lost her booty call but she must of wanted more than a booty call or she wouldn't of so hastily made the comment. Either way that sucks.

I think it's the fact that the OP said she posted it for the sole purpose of wanting people to congratulate her, which is very attention-whorish. If she would have said "to inform my friends of the good news," that would be a different story.
