Today, I got fired from my job because I closed the store 84 seconds early. They found out because the state manager was sitting across the street with binoculars watching me. FML

Some people are complaining about the 84 seconds.....well i'm more concerned about the manager with his binoculars.

Doesn't seem like a great place to work if they are that uptight and not understanding, you'd be a lot happier in a nicer workplace I presume so it would be better in the end , but why would be bother wait outside is what I'm wondering

The company I work for will fire any management for closing before the company stated time of closing. It is written in our contracts and we have to stick to it.

but 84 seconds could be a discrepancy between timing devices... at the store I work at most of the clocks are different by at least 30-40 seconds, and it can be up to a 3 or even 5 minute difference sometimes... I am not talking my own clock on my phone either, just specifically the store clocks...

Should've said that you closed on time according to the clocks in the store, not every clock runs at exactly the same time.

There was only one job I have ever been fired from, it was a pizza place. We had a bunch of leftover dough with sauce and cheese already on it. I cooked one and took it home, the rest went in the trash. I was fired for "stealing" because I didn't pay for it. The owner was watching the security cameras online. I actually felt bad for the store manger. She was forced to fire me and I only worked 2 Saturdays a month so she could have a weekend day off.

If the managers watching with binoculars it's obviously a lot more going on at that store then closing 84 seconds early
