Today, I got into a heated argument with my mom. Apparently, my seeking medicinal treatments for my cancer is blasphemous. According to her, I should just pray my cancer away. FML

Today, I found out that my mother, who's been against me seeking treatment for my cancer, has been going to different churches and charities to get donations for her "poor ailing daughter." I've not seen a dime of this money, and my mom just tells me to pray my cancer away. FML

Today, I was watching the episode of New Amsterdam where a man's cancer goes into remission very abruptly. As the doctors wonder how the hell that's possible, my mom says, "God." Okay. So if this "God" controls what happens to your body, why is cancer still a thing? My mom is no longer religious. She's delusional. FML

Today, my mother in law basically said I deserve my breast cancer, all because I declined to take part in one of her "March Against Cancer" events a while ago. I guess donating money to cancer research instead of going on a meaningless march really messed up my karma. FML

Today, my wife has cancer but rather than go to hospital like a sane person, she has started going to church as often as possible, even though in the history of mankind I can’t remember a single instance where praying to some statue with a cross has ever cured cancer. FML

If you're a minor reach out to either police or CPS and make sure to mention the exacts of the case, because many states have laws against relying on "faith healers" and prayer alone when dealing with deadly conditions like yours. It also sounds like your mom needs serious mental help because "praying away cancer" is a delusion. If you're an adult however, get the treatment you need and be ready for fallout with the crazy.

This ******* shit infuriates me. If your mom thinks her deluded prayers work, let her have her fun, but do whatever *you* have to to get proper science-based medical treatment. If you're a minor, you may have to go to court. Either contact CPS or get a guardian ad litem, an attorney who will represent *your* best interests in court. There are attorneys who will do this pro bono. Good luck!

This is a messed up situation. I sincerely hope you get proper treatment. Please don't let your Mother's ignorance (no offense) claim your life. If you are a minor please call the police or CPS.. Even talk to another family member who might help you out. Blessings OP.
