Today, I got into my car and realised that my CDs were no longer in my glove box. According to the police, the random key code for my car type has been cracked, and thieves can now let themselves in whenever they want. The manufacturer says they can't do anything about it. FML

The manufacturer is lying. if they're too lazy to change it then they should disable it which they can also do. Is this a Ford product? If for whatever reason I am wrong, you have a major class-action lawsuit on your hands. Talk to the manager of the car dealership and tell them these things. I guarantee you they will play ball. Under absolutely no circumstances should you have to pay even a dime.

So tell the car company to take out the key code or the device the thieves are using to get in and manually use a key to open and close the car door problem solved genius.

the manufacturer can't do anything. the way they got the code is from being close by with a device for you to hit your keyless entry. once you do it intercepts the code. you can avoid it by just using your regular key.

Just pull the fuse for the power locks and they'll HAVE to use a key. Simple yet effective. People think vehicles are so complicated. They really aren't, everything follows the rules when it was designed.

just be thankful they didn't steal your car haha and just don't keep anyhing valuable in your car. problem almost solved

who still has CDs? your bigger problem is you haven't evolved.

So disable the key pad. You know damn well the manufacturer is capable. People managed with regular keys for decades, you will survive. Then again you're not bright enough to fight for it, so you kind of deserve what you get.

They are from the UK and there they spell realized, with an s instead of a z. There are several words they spell with an s instead of a z.
