Today, I got into my driving instructor's car for my first lesson. He looked at me, then said, "I'm sorry, but I wasn't told about your disabilities, what do you have?" I'm not disabled. FML

I don't get it. He "saw" your disability? Are you deformed or something?

She's saying that he's implying she resembles disabled people (not sure which disability though)... Some physical characteristic she has made him assume that. It's not rocket science. But wow, what an asshole. I guess this is what happens when people assume stuff smh.

You do realize there are a number of severe, seriously dehabiliting disabilities that you can have where you look 100% normal on the outside, right. Try being a 26 year old with uncontrolled epilepsy and see the stares and mean remarks you get because you use handicapped stalls, take the elevator (since you aren't allowed stairs even if it is just for 1 floor), or pay with food stamps

To the people asking how he could "see" this... ever notice how people with down's syndrome have a particular look? Well, there's your answer.

A lot of disabilities have clear physical deformities. Have you ever seen someone with Down Syndrome and even autism? It's not that they 'look' deformed, it's just their mannerisms such as the way they make eye contact, delay their speech, ECT. If he sincerely did mean it in the sense of "I wasn't told of any disabilities you had, do you have any I need to know of?" then he definitely chose the wrong words.

you deserve it for being ugly enough for him to think that

FYL. That's all I've got to say...no I lied. I have much to say. I wouldn't say YDI for "looking disabled" or "being ugly" like some of these assholes here, but I would agree with many of them making it sound more proper; like an honest question opposed to a mean or stupid one, or at least mean- or stupid-sounding one. The way he said it sounds awful, but he probably meant (or didn't) to sound so mean. Who knows? Maybe he was joking?

OMG that's horrible!!!!! wow....get his ass fired.
