I had a similar situation where I was walking with a friend and everything started getting a little blurry. I said "I wish I brought my glasses". You just get so used to them you don't know you are wearing them lol.

If you forget and it flashes for a few seconds that you're going to die and then you remember that's fine. But 5 full minutes is pure idiocy.

Yeah, I haven't walked in the shower while wearing my glasses either. That's not to say I'm so smart that I don't forget that I have them on. Not at all; I'm an idiot. I once went swimming with them on, which might be even dumber then walking into the shower with glasses. Also, I once spent a good twenty minutes looking for them while I had them on.

I've worn them into the shower absentmindedly, but quickly realized when the water hit them and let droplets. I believe my dad wears them into the shower to clean them, though. Or perhaps that's an excuse...
