Lets use logic here : Why would he propose to you? Have you been chatting with him on the sly? Have you been SEEING him on the sly. Obviously there's some unfinished business between you too

Its possible depending on the way they broke up they could have remained just friends and he never got over her but she doesnt have feelings anymore and is uncomfortable with the situation like anyone else
