I honestly really hope you called child protection services or informed the authorities. that is unsafe and makes me believe she is not fit to have a child as she is uneducated enough about children to give he THREE WEEK OLD INFANT a bottle of kool aid. I hope that child is doing OK.

Colostrum, or the milk you first produce has antibodies in it that give the baby it's first immune system designed for the outside world. No formula can reproduce what's in those first few feedings. After that it doesn't matter if it's formula.
