I'm sorry that he has turned out to be just a "sperm donor" rather than a Dad. The good thing is that you know about his character (or lack thereof) and can look to other people to provide the "fatherly" attributes he has failed to provide.

Also, some of the others have valid points. In 9 years, alot can change. But for him to forget you that generally means a falling out between you to which you are at fault too. Unless he leaves before you are born. But you are not 9, are you?
