Today, I got written up for drinking on the job by a manager who drinks on the job, who was told to write me up by a general manager who drinks on the job, and we are all employed by an owner who drinks on the job. I haven't had a drink in 3 weeks. FML

DJJayLee tells us more.

strip clubs aren't union. we have a total of 14 employees at this club and the GM would rather fire everyone and hire new people than deal with that. I'm 1 of 3 that have worked here longer than a year.

Where on earth do you work, the liquor store?

Really hoping none of your bosses opperate heavey machinery at your place of work.

Apparently the real problem is you haven't been drinking on the job.

Sounds like an episode of bar rescue to me.

Go into work and tie one on next time.

Idk what you do for living nor where you work at but I want the job!

Above OP says it's a strip club. Still want the job?

That's a whole lot of drinking on the job.

Maybe you didn't read it carefully and it actually said "Violation: Not drinking on the job"

Lot's of bosses will do this and get away with it. One of the big reasons they say not to drink with co-workers. Most also tend to pass around stories and if it was at a company part there is a good chance it might be used against you. I never drank at work functions and might have seemed too proper for most of them, better that happen then have stories about you or have it used against you later. Plus, most will remember someone else being drunk, but not whether or not they were.

or they were accusing him of drinking when he wasn't whatsoever and the time frame was given to establish that he hasn't been drinking at any recent point, therefore the writeup is stupid because he is innocent.
