Today, I had a hour long conversation with someone I apparently was friends with a few years ago. I couldn't remember who he was for the life of me, so I just played along. Finally, I told him I didn't remember him. He had the wrong number. I had a long conversation with a wrong number. FML

Maybe it's serendipity? Maybe you just made a new friend? Or maybe you just wasted an hour of your life. Meh

Oh please, for all who say YDI, are you dissing the author because she tried to be polite? I am a very social person, so people I "don't know" approach me often, and I also have the same awkward conversation. To the author, how is this a FML? You made a new friend, and, even if you didn't, you were polite about it all the way.

that's not FML, that's awesome.

A woman I know is now best friends with someone who called her as a wrong number. If it was an enjoyable conversation, then you could have just said you didn't remember him, but would like to meet for coffee sometime or something.

I wouldn't say this is an FML at all. If anything you have an amusing anecdote at least. At best you have a new friend. If this person was annoyed or offended who cares, it's not somebody you'll be likely to see or hear from again. I've had a similar thing happen when a stranger texted me by mistake. The conversation went on longer than it would have as I happened to have the same first name as the guy she was trying to get hold of. It was a confusing but funny conversation.

Why is this an FML? It's actually kind of neat. Either way, YDI.

This sounds like something i used to do "HEY DUDE. remember me?! havent seen you in forever." "..do i know you?" "...how do you forget me?! how?!"

this is just a good story. f no ones life.
