Today, I spent the night at a friend's house after drinking. My phone died and I didn’t charge it. My mom decided I was a missing person, and all of her friends on Facebook decided to post that I was missing. I’m a 27 year-old adult. FML

Today, a bunch of cops showed up at my house demanding to see my wife to make sure she was OK. Turns out my insane out-of-state daughter swatted me, calling 911 to tell them I had tied up my wife, and been impersonating her for a week. FML

Today, as I returned home, I noticed some movement inside my house. Thinking it was a break-in, I called 911. It was my friends and some coworkers trying to throw me a surprise birthday party. Nobody's said a word to me since. FML

Today, the police showed up at my door asking if I told this creepy guy stalking my girlfriend that I'll chop him up and bury each piece in a different country if he doesn't stop bothering my girl. I told them I did, along with an explanation. Turns out, he's been missing since that day. FML

Today, I told my mom I was going hiking with a couple of friends and wouldn't be back for four or more hours. Not even two hours later, she called the cops and reported us as missing. She didn't realize that we wouldn't have service up the canyon so we could call her back. FML

Today, a girl I've been talking to online for a while asked me if I wanted to meet her in person. Two hours of driving later, I end up at her house. When she opened the door, she screamed and called the cops on me. While detained, she called my phone asking why I never showed up today. FML

Man this so pathetic... yet hilarious. One because the OP is a dick 'oh no, I have friends that care enough to be worried about me! What ******* terrible friends that they'd want to be sure that I'm okay!" and second because all the friends commented and the OP got dumped out for being an ungrateful ****. "Today, I got kidnapped by a mental hobo who locked me up for a week, but my friends didn't care enough to notice. FML." Wait, what? Why did I type that last bit?

How old are you like 15? according to your friends you're making suicidal comments then disappearing for 6 days? no kidding people would worry for you. that's awfully attention seeking if you ask me... This is why im not on crap like facebook... or myspace.. or hi5... or friendster.. or bebo.. or xanga.. or livejournal.. or any of that. I was tired of people going "are you dead?!" after I didn't sign on for a week, and the way people live their lives on them, if you're not on there 24/7, you don't exist. I would just rather not exist to those people or find better ways to interact with people. I remember when I was first going online, these sites weren't really popular and I used aim for my friends. Other then that we talked on the phone, IMed, emailed, and *gasp* hung out and talked face to face. So I remember what it was like just before and right after all of these social networks become huge... and I MUCH prefer the before =/

No, it was her account on www.gaiaonline.com She was too busy to reply to any phone calls or texts, to log into her main account or facebook. Too busy to respond to any of the numerous worried people who were reacting to the suicidal facebook comment left. Yet she could use an alternate account on Gaia to view her comments (it records who looks at it). To watch the drama.
