Today, I had an elderly man come to my cash register. His total came to $15.50 He handed me $5 in nickels and dimes. A full roll of quarters. Before I could take the roll, he bust it open, making me count it. After that was all counted he was 50 cents short. So he handed me a $10 bill. FML

I hope you gave the ****** his change in pennies.

It's the little old ladies in front of me at the checkout counting exact change at a rate of 1 coin / 2 seconds that make me want to strangle them.

I would have to count it twice. Or more. Really, though, this is a FML for the folks behind the old laddie in line. You have to be there, so what do you care? It pays the same, eh? Funny story. Thanksfor sharing.

This is why I'll never ever ever work in retail and/or food service

the other day I had a guy wait until I had broken open a roll of quarters and a roll pennies and then he tells me he has correct change. don't sweat the small stuff. it comes with a customer service job. i've worked in retail/food/customer service for 6 years. u just gotta let it roll off. this isn't a FML...unless u let it be.

aw he was probably just trying to get rid of his change.. elderly people are cute :) but i get it, i work in a bar and sometimes people take hours figuringout exaclty how to split the bill, and then they all try to get rid of their change. (-_-')

i also am a cashier and people are just plain rude.

lmfao thats wat this one dude did as a prank probably da old man did it as a prank

As a cashier this has happened to me too. I wanted to strangle them.
