Today, I had an important job interview at another company. I'd tried to keep it secret from everyone at work, so they wouldn't tell my boss, as I can't afford to get on his bad side yet. My mom posted on my Facebook wall, wishing me luck. I'm Facebook friends with most of my colleagues. FML

If you wanted to keep it secret, why would you tell anyone period?

This is why I don't like Facebook. No bloody privacy. I honestly don't get this need to share every part of your life with everyone.

Rule 1: do not socialize with coworkers.

See, this is why Facebook leads to death!

You know you can delete comments on FB. Just delete it, and if anyone asks act like you have no idea what they're talking about. No one will know.

Totally YDI for not having correctly configured facebook. Or for having facebook.

I usually tend not add anyone from work on Facebook because of situations like these. Not like I need anything worth, but it's good to keep work and personal lives separate some times.

This is why your social network and your parents social network should never be the SAME social network.

it's unfortunate but at least you know your mom is rooting for you

you should probably change your privacy settings? I have mine in a way that only allows me to read what people post on my walls.. so that way Idont have my family reading embarrassing things my friends might write. you should try it!
