Today, I had my final economics exam, and needed to ace it, or else I would fail the entire module. After studying all day yesterday, and pulling an all-nighter today, I managed to pull it off and get a perfect score. Unfortunately, my teacher didn't believe that it was possible, and accused me of cheating. Now I may be thrown out of college. FML

You can't be thrown out of college unless she has proof, if you didn't cheat, she probably won't have proof. They might ask you take another test to prove you know the material, so be prepared for that.

I'd say the teacher has pretty good reason to be suspicious. 100% is almost impossible to achieve for students doing well, and you expect the teacher to believe you were failing her class and all of a sudden managed to get a PERFECT score even though you were up all night studying (which studies have shown leads to worse scores, not better)? I'm betting you cheated.

Man, I want your major. In most of my classes, I'm happy if I get a 60%. Course, a 60 would be in the 90th percentile of the class.

It's more that the classes are just really damned hard. Word to the wise: don't be a chem major.

Wait. Do you know if anyone sitting near you got a 100%? Did you have any suspicious looking papers on your desk?

Thats why u buy a barons blue book....that thing got me through so many regents its not even funny.....wait unless u live in NY or Cali u dont understand....w/e....

Get the student handbook and find a good lawyer. The teacher can not expell you from the school without proof that you cheated. FYL

OP wasn't failing. Their grade was low enough that if they did badly then it would make them fail. also just because somebody might be failing a class doesn't make them lazy.

dude colleges have a thing called "student court", where a student can require a prof to convince a jury that the said cheating really happened. I think the jury won't buy this smoke about "not possible". and you don't need any lawyer

My teachers have tried to pull this crap with me. Just act completely insulted when they accuse you of cheating. Then again, I'm still in high school >.< 3 1/2 more months of hell.

They can't arbitrarily kick you out just because the professor thinks you're cheating. On the other hand, if someone who wasn't doing too well manages to get a perfect score on the final, that tends to raise some eyebrows. The majority of the time this sudden improvement can be attributed to cheating, so your professor's suspicions aren't unfounded. I'd say that either this thing will blow over, or you'll have to take another version of the exam. In the meantime, talk to your professor. You may be able to get over this thing without going through a lengthy administrative process.
