megs2129 tells us more.
It was an expreimental treatment for Endometriosis. And it wasn't only the taste that was bad, it was how it made me feel. There were multiple portions of it, and some sizzled as they went down and stuff like that. The one that made me throw up made me feel like time stopped. I can't explain it, but it was like nothing was right. And it tasted horrible

It tastes awful, and it works!
yeah man i know! i had appendicitis and i have that nasty shit i vomited 4 times
47, You're not the only doctor out there. I've thrown up activated charcoal before and they've made me drink it until I kept it down. Had to drink 3 huge glasses of it, thick, black, and chalky. Maybe YOU should shut the **** up because every time I've taken it and thrown it up they force me to down another glass. You're rather irritating.
Did you read what I posted? That's EXACTLY what I said. "If you don't, then let them vomit and drink more of the SAME dose." That's what they did for you. It's not like if you had taken a sip and DIDN'T throw it up that would've been it. You just agreed with me o_O
pepto bismol? blehhhh
If it was a barium swallow, it's not that bad. The worst part is how much of it you have to drink in a short time period, not the taste.
Yeah the barium isn't bad at all. I had to do some for a barium swallow and then a ton of it for and upper and lower gi. Try having a barium enema and we'll talk fun times!!!
lol this happened to me!
You people don't know what the OP took or why they had to take it. So shut up with the YDI comments.
Just for the record, the reason you must drink all of the activated charcoal the docs or EMTs give you, is because it can save your life, but only if you have enough to actually absorb all of the poisons you have already ingested. Most people do throw it up, because it is none too appetizing. Simple fact of the matter, if you were sick, I'm sorry for you, but you for whatever reason overdosed on whatever it was, the YDI.
You realize that you can overdose on something and not know it. My Cell Bio prof told us about this medication his wife had to take for some condition. It turned out that people were dying from overdoses of that medication. Why? Well for some reason the drug would take an incredibly long time to leave your body. So people would take one dose. Then the next day take another, etc... So they ended up overdosing. His wife was lucky and quit taking it and the medication was recalled.

Aww, this totally isn't a YDI! I know how you feel. I was in the hospital once and they gave me this awful stuff that they tried to sweeten with orange flavor. I threw it up after fifteen minutes of trying to chug it down. When you're sick and you have to force down something so bad that it'll come up again and make you feel worse, it sucks. FYL.
Wasn't a GI cocktail or activated charcoal, was it?
